Children's Day - October 2014
Children’s Day is recognised worldwide since 1954.
In Singapore, Children’s Day is celebrated on the first Friday of October - we had ours on the 1st Sunday of October in the Fletcher Hall.
A number of our lovely SCC kids and their parents came to our Children's Day at Fletcher Hall (SCC likes to have more activities for children in future, this was our 1st). See the kids enthusiasm in the photos in our FB and here of their painting activities - they knew what they wanted! Even the youngest at just 4 showed its artistic side.
Martini topped the day with her face painting and got our president decorated too.
Plenty of yummy food from fried rice, black pepper mussels, vegetarian dhal, sambal paru/lung, fried taugeh with fish ball and tahu, spring rolls, fish and omelette, and mouth watering cakes and fresh fruits. When it comes to food, you can be assured that the SCC will provide authentic Singaporean favourites.
The day ended with a lolly scramble and a community clean up. Well done team and parents. You did the SCC proud!
